SPPD Changes Uniform and Vehicle Designs.
Today the SPPD Command completed the bulk issue of a new design of uniforms and vehicles for SPPD Road Patrol Officers. Ditching the iconic black and white vehicles for a dark blue and white and swapping the all dark blue uniform shirts for a more pleasant contrasting light blue with updated patches and SPPD shield badges. The old uniforms had been in use by the SPPD since 2021.
Officers have been given til May 1st, 2025 to come into compliance with the new unform issue.

SPPD launches
Special Weapons and Tactics Program
Today the SPPD Chief made an executive decision to authorize the creation of a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT). SPPD SWAT will be comprised of Gold Tier PVPers and will set the standard for PVP excellence within the department for the future.
Lieutenant Skarlett4Hire was designated to lead the division and SCAR volunteer MsWolfy provided camouflage uniforms for the team.
10/08/2024 New Captain Promoted for the First Time since 2016.
Today the SPPD Command elected to proceed with promoting Lieutenant JohnM450 to Captain of Patrol following the original Cpt. Chet's decision to suddenly take leave of absence to improve his health. Cpt. Chet has been reassigned to an administrative position pending his full return,
JohnM450 will be taking over Precinct 01.

SPPD Deploys Assets to Protect Public Events
Earlier today the SPPD deployed resources to provide security for a set of public events hosted by community figure TruZealot. SPPD personnel provided anti-griefer protection for the public while they enjoyed the contest and won an assortment of lucrative prizes.
The SPPD is happy to report that thanks to its hard working officers, no attempts to interrupt the event were successful.

SPPD Relaunches Recruitment on PC-Jericho
On 09/11/2024 the SPPD Officially relaunched recruiting initiatives on the PC NA - Jericho server Officially ending the recruitment hiatus after almost two years.
